An art college had a problem with space to install a extact system.
The students use aerosol cans to paint their art projects. This was evedent with the overspray on the paths around the college.
The only area for the installation was an outside basement, this is within a 5 story building and extract ducting was not acceptable to this height.
We designed a self contained extact system with an integral activated carbon cartridge to remove the odour of the solvent based paints. A belt driven centrifugal type fan with a single phase fan motor reduced the noise level of the spray booth.
A standard pleated spray booth filter removed the paint particles from the air stream and a work bench provided a sturdy platform for the students to spray their art objects on.
