Oily Water Condensate - a poisonous mixture
The air compressions process has a number of by products, one of which is a large volume of condensate. Generally, this condensate is an emulsifying combination of oil and water which, if left untreated, is extremely harmful to the environment. Because of the potential damage this condensate can cause, strict regulations have been introduced that prohibit the disposal of such waste without rigorous treatment.
The Atlas Copco range of condensate separators is designed to separate the oil from the water, allowing for the water to be drained away and the oil to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

WSD Water Separators
The water separators provided by Atlas Copco have ample capacity. Reliable automatic drain devices prevent condensed water from building up in the coolers. The water separators are delivered as standard with the after coolers.
They can also be installed in any point of your air net.
Made entirely of totally rust proof, these general purpose separators feature very efficient separation by cyclone. Maintenance free with no moving parts, they have an automatic and manual drain.
WD Automatic Condensate Drains
The WD80 drain valve provides completely automatic drainage of the condensate which collects at the bottom of the air receiver. The patented Atlas Copco design eliminates troublesome mechanical linkages.
The automatic drain can be installed at the lowest point of a compressed air net, (e.g. at the bottom of a receiver or cyclone separator etc.). Maintenance is minimal.
EWD Electronic Condensate Drains
The range of EWD electronically controlled condensate drains is synonymous with safe, dependable and economical condensate management. The intelligent drain function monitors condensate build up with liquid level sensors and a evacuates the condensate only when necessary, thus avoiding wastage of compressed air and giving considerable energy savings.
